NEWS
6/12/11
We've been
having some crazy weather this year. A
couple weeks ago a tornado hit Springfield,
MA (which isn't too far from Cheapskate HQ).
Springfield, MA is also the home to our good
friends The Prozacs. I was very happy
to hear that everyone in The Prozacs are
fine and actually left for a brief tour only
2 days after the tornado hit. Speaking
of touring, The Sprains will be leaving the
Bay Area to play a couple shows out of
state. On 6/15 they will be in
Portland Oregon and on 6/17 they will be in
Boise Idaho. If you live in those
areas, go see them. - Jason.

It's been
awhile hasn't it? We are proud to
announce a new release which will be hitting
the streets 7/27/10 - the debut CD for The
Nappies "Next Stop Styx!" We've been
working this release for quite awhile and we
are very pleased with the way it turned out.
If you are a fan of Italian pop-punk or
horror-influence music you will love The
Nappies! Even though the official
release date is 7/27/10 you can order it
now,
HERE, and the first 50 orders will
receive a free glow-in-the-dark button!
We have begun work on our next release, The
Sprains "Imitate Art" and hope to have it
out by the end of the summer.
The Prozacs "Pieces" 7" is now out of print.
The band should still have copies for sale
but we are officially tapped out.
Cheapskate Records is now exclusively
distributed by
PNJ
Distro Co out of San Diego, CA and we
are so happy to working with them.

Just a few
things to report on this morning.
First off The Fake Boys will be going on
tour this summer with Off With Their Heads
and Dear Landlord - this should be an
amazing tour! Once I have the tour
dates I will post them on here.
Second, I am down to three copies of The
Prozacs "Pieces" 7" - all of which are
transitional colours. I'm selling them
for $4ppd, which is the normal price.
First come, first serve. Once these
three records are gone, that's it. - Jason.

Attention
folks who picked up the free sampler CDs at
Hot Topic in the Rotterdam Square Mall
(Schenectady, NY)! First, I'd like to
thank you for picking a copy up, more
importantly thank you for showing an
interest in a label that you probably didn't
even know was right in your backyard.
Second, if you liked what you heard on the
CD this is a call to action - please go back
to Hot Topic and ask about our CDs and
records (this will help with getting Hot
Topic to carry our music). Lastly,
email me at
jason@cheapskaterecords.com if you like
to sign up for our newsletter so you can
stay up to date what we have in the works.
Speaking of in the works - we are currently
working on two new releases that for right
now we are keeping hush-hush but we will be
unveiling more information on them very very
soon. Stay tuned. - Jason.

I've got a
few things to report on this time around.
I know it's been awhile since I've posted
something but I wanted to wait until I
actually had something to write about.
First off two Cheapskate releases are now
out of print. We have sold out of both
The Leftovers "Party Tonight!" CD and V/A
"Dispense This Too!" compilation CD. I
know
Interpunk and
Punk N Junk Distro have copies left of
the Leftovers disc - so if you are looking
for a copy visit one of those sites.
Newbury Comics stores in New England may
still have copies in stock as well.
Speaking of Punk N Junk Distro - we are
thrilled to welcome one of our distributors
back to the "game." On March 1st Punk
N Junk Distro is officially back and they
are kicking off their return by giving away
gift certificates, so visit their site and
try to snatch one.
As for new releases - we've got a few things
planned but we are not quite ready to
release any information on them. For
right now they are top secret. More of
an update will be coming soon.
Cheapskate Records is now on facebook, so we
encourage you to become a fan. -
Jason.
