The McRackins "Eggzit" CD is finally here!
Or I should say it will be here today - it's
on the UPS truck scheduled to be delivered.
You can order it
HERE and I
should be able to mail your copy out today.
It will be up on Interpunk, Punk N Junk and
all those other sites next week or so.
Order the CD today, you won't be
disappointed!
If you pick up the latest issue of AMP
Magazine (Issue #33) you will find an
interview with The Leftovers. Also
featured in Issue #33 is an interview with
Blase Debris and The Designer Drugs - two
band from Upstate New York (Blase Debris is
actually from Schenectady just like us).
Go Upstate! Keep an eye out for AMP
Magazine Issue #34 - it will feature an
interview with The Guts. -- Jason.

The pre-order
for the new McRackins CD will up shortly.
The CD should be arriving in the next couple
weeks. "Dispense This Too!" is finally
being mastered and will be released in the
coming months. I can't believe that it
was almost a year ago that I posted that
"Dispense This Too" was near completion.
I guess it really wasn't. There have
been a lot of delays when it comes to this
CD but I swear it's on its way.
Besides all the releases listed in the
upcoming releases section we are also
currently working on a Christmas themed 7".
The record will feature The Prozacs, Sugar
Eater, The McRackins, Glenn Theory, and Body
Of Castle all doing Christmas songs.
More information on this record to follow.

Another quick
update. I've still got a lot of work
to do on the site. I've got a lot of
great releases to add to our new "Distro"
section if I can ever get it done. We
now have copies of Sugar Eater's new CD
"Mommy Can I Go Out And Cry Tonight?"
Speaking of Sugar Eater, their record and
the Rydells LP will hopefully be going out
to be pressed this week - still trying to
get everything together for them. The
McRackins CD is being pressed as we speak
and should be done soon.
Back when we started Cheapskate Records in
1998 we came across a band from Battle Creek
MI called Ate Crayons. We included two
of their songs on "How To Stretch A Dollar"
and in 1999 we released their debut full
length. Before they broke up they
recorded an EP entitled "Here You Are/You
Are Here" which never saw the light of
day... until now! With Ate Crayons'
permission we have put the unreleased EP up
for download on the site. The cost of
the download? Free! You can
download the four songs
HERE. The songs are also listed on
the downloads page.
I just noticed that I haven't posted
anything about the Popsters new album on
this page. That's right we are
releasing both the CD and LP version of
Italy's own Popsters! The new album is
titled "Our Bites Bring You Back" and I
think it's the best stuff the Popsters have
done thus far! I've listed more
information on this release along with the
cover art on the Upcoming Releases page so
check it out!
We are running low on The Prozacs "Pieces"
7" especially the white records. Not
including the dirty white and the 2 egg
white records, we only have 2 white records
left. The yellow records are getting
really low too - so if you are looking for
either the white or yellow records you
better order them now before they are gone!

Just a quick update. We are now out of
The Copyrights "Mutiny Pop" LP. I'll
have to see if I can get more. I've
got a bunch of stuff, including the Kepi/Flav
split 7" coming from Squinty Joe's Records
in the UK - keep an eye out for that.
The new distro section will be up soon
enought. Get on board, man! -- Jason.

I figured it
was time for another update. All the
projects we have in works are coming along -
some are coming along slower than others but
it's all good. The Sugar Eater 7" is
all recorded and the band feels it's the
best stuff they've recorded thus far.
I was there when they recorded the title
track "SLP" and it definitly blows the older
version of the song out of the water.
The Fake Boys EP, titled "Pop Punk Is Dead"
is all recorded and sounds really great too!
I'm really excited about The Fake Boys EP -
they've really written and recorded a great
batch of songs.
We are working a few other new releases that
haven't been revealed yet on the website but
expect a big unveiling soon.
I've traded some records with labels
overseas and will be posting a new "Distro"
section on the website in the coming weeks -
so expect that soon as well. Stay
tuned. -- Jason.

Like I've
stated before, 2008 is going to be a busy
year for us here at Cheapskate Records.
I have now posted all the releases that we
are currently working on in the "Upcoming
Releases" section. The two big reveals
were the Rydells "Rock N Roll Is The Answer"
LP (our first LP very exciting!) and The
McRackins "Eggzit" CD. I am very
excited for both of these releases -
actually I'm excited about all the releases
we have coming out in 2008! It's
looking like 2008 is going to be big vinyl
year for us as well - we've got 3 records
coming out - the Rydells LP, the Sugar Eater
7" and a Guts 7".
The artwork for "Dispense This Too!" is
coming along and it looks really great!
We are working on a button set to go along
with the release of CD - the set will
consist of 4 different buttons, 3 of which
will be pez themed.
We are trying to make room for all the new
releases so we are, yet again, leaving the
Package
Deal up for awhile longer. As an
added bonus if you order one of the Package
Deals you will receive a fourth CD free.
The free CD will be one of our compilations.
The free CD doesn't just apply to the
Package Deal though - if you order CD,
record or shirt off our site you will
receive a free compilation CD. We are
running low on both the Leftovers CD and the
Johnie 3/Prozacs split CD so if you don't
already own them you might want to order
them now!
Get on board, man! - Jason.

Well it's
2008, which marks ten years for Cheapskate
Records. Yes, we started this whole
"thing" about 10 years ago! Where did
the time go? 2008 is going to be a
busy year for us, release-wise, we've
already got a bunch of great new records in
the works for the upcoming year. We've
decided to keep our package deal up for
awhile longer so we can make room for the
new inventory. Here's what we have
planned for 2008 so far:
V/A "Dispense This Too!" is coming together
really well. We've got a lot of great bands
lined up for it. Besides all the
Cheapskate standards we've got Lemuria,
Brainless Wonders, The Sheckies, The Jizz
Kids, The Apers, The Challenged and a lot
more lined up for it.
Sugar Eater "SLP" 7" - I just saw these guys
play on thursday and they get better and
better each time I see them. Their 7"
will feature the song SLP on one side and a
Tom Waits cover on the b-side.
We've also just added a new band to our
roster - The Fake Boys from Boston Mass.
They will be heading into the studio in
April to record a CDep for Cheapskate
Records. I also hope to get the
Grandprixx disc out this year along with a
few other surprises that we will be
releasing details on soon enough.
Hopefully we will have the "Pez Flag" shirt
back in stock as well. --Jason
